How do I deposit funds to my trading account opened with Everbright Securities Investment Services (HK) Limited (EBSISHK)?

You can authorize your bank account to deposit into your trading account through Electronic Direct Debit Authorization service (eDDA). Alternatively, you can deposit through methods provided by HSBC, Hang Seng Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Bank of China (Hong Kong). These methods include Phone Banking, Online Banking, ATM, Bank Deposits, CHATs/TT Remittance , or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) via PPS. What is eDDA?

eDDA is Electronic Direct Debit Authorization which allows bank account holders to transfer funds real-time from bank account to our trading account in 7x24 modes.

What banks are available for eDDA set up in EBSI?

Currently, we support 7 banks, namely HSBC, HASE, SCB, BOC, ICBC (Asia), CCB (Asia) and CMB.

How many bank accounts can I add in my EBSO GO / online portal?

Maximum 2 bank accounts are allowed.

What kind of account types can eDDA support?

Currently, eDDA fund transfer applies to equities account only (Cash or margin account) under Everbright Securities Investment Services (HK) Limited, China Everbright Securities (HK) Limited and Everbright Securities Digital Finance (HK) Limited.

Only individual account is allowed. Joint and corporate accounts are not supported.

Is there any transfer limit for eDDA?

You can set your maximum limit per transaction during eDDA setup. Please be reminded that bank side online transfer limit setting (if any) will override this eDDA limit. For details, please refer to your bank limit setting. Please ensure your bank account has sufficient funds for fund transfer to avoid the bank rejecting the transfer or the bank charging overdraft interest.

After fund transfer via eDDA, how long does it take to transfer to my trading account?

Fund transferred is immediately available in trading account after successful transfer. If you transfer after 8:00pm, your deposit statement record will be shown next day. Nevertheless, the injected fund will be reflected in EBSI GO & web trading platform immediately for client instant use for trading.

Is there any minimum transfer restriction via eDDA?

Yes, the minimum transfer amount is HK$1,000.

Where can I find eDDA transaction history?

You can click “History” under “Fund Deposit (eDDA)” to view the latest transactions in 30 days.

The "CMB Hong Kong All-in-One Card" account number has 16 digits. If you want to make transfers using the Electronic Direct Debit Authorization (eDDA) service, you first need to set up eDDA. You may need to contact your bank or CMB to get more detailed steps and guidance.

When adding your direct debit authorization service (eDDA) bank account, simply select CMB and enter the last seven digits of your CMB "Hong Kong All-in-one Card" account number in the "Bank Account Number" field to make transfers.

How can I cancel eDDA?

Please approach to your bank to cancel eDDA, either via online banking or branch visit.

Does the fund deposit into Standard Chartered Bank's "sub- account" get credited immediately?

Fund transfer takes time to be credited to the Standard Chartered 'sub-account'. Generally, funds deposited during the trading day's trading hours will be credited to your account in about 1 hour.

How to register for the electronic Direct Debit Authorization service (eDDA) via EBSI GO?

After logged-in the account, then select <Account> in the lower right corner, choose <Instant Deposit (eDDA)>, and select <Add Bank Account>.

How to make a deposit through the Electronic Direct Debit Authorization (eDDA) service using EBSI GO?

After logged-in the account, select <Account> at the bottom right, choose <Instant Deposit (eDDA)>, then enter the amount and select the registered bank to make a deposit.

What is a Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) sub-account?

When you open an account with EBSISHK, you will be given a Designated Hong Kong Dollar Segregated Deposit Account at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). You can simply use your own designated account number and/or account name to deposit funds through various channels: internet banking, phone banking, ATMs, CHATs & TT remittances, or direct branch deposits.

Notes:
1. No money can be withdrawn from the Designated Hong Kong Dollar Segregated Deposit Account. To withdraw funds, please visit our website, go to the HK shares trading page, fill in and submit the appropriate online Funds Withdrawal Form to us. Alternatively, you can send duly signed written instructions to us.
2. All transactions of the Designated Hong Kong Dollar Segregated Deposit Account will be shown on your daily and monthly account statements.

How do I check my Standard Chartered Bank "sub-Account"?

Log in to your account through the online system at the official website, click "Account" at the top right of the page, and click "Deposit Instructions". Your Standard Chartered Bank "sub-account" will then be displayed.

How do I withdraw funds from my account?

After logged-in to EBSI GO, choose <Account> at the bottom right, swipe left in the middle selection column, select the last <More>, then choose <Withdraw Funds>. Fill in the information and press <Submit> to proceed.

How to change the receiving bank?

After logged-in, select <Account> in the lower right corner of EBSI GO, slide to the left in the middle selection bar, click <More> at the end, select <Personal Information>, fill in the information and click <Submit>.

How long does it take to withdraw money from my account?

Withdrawal requests submitted before 11:00 a.m. on a trading day will be credited at approximately 17:30 p.m. on the same trading day.
Orders submitted after 11:00 a.m. will be credited at approximately 17:30 p.m. on the next trading day.

Will I receive interest from the funds deposited?

Yes. The money standing to the credit of your account is interest-bearing (the same as the interest rate for SCBs savings account).

How do I transfer funds within my own accounts with EBSI?

You can fill in the "Funds Transfer - within Everbright Securities International group of companies" in the website trading platform.
