Trading is conducted on Monday to Friday (except public holidays) during the following times:

Auction Session (where only At-auction Order ("AAO") and At-auction Limit Order ("AALO") are allowed)

Note: At-auction Limit Orders that remain unmatched after pre-opening session will be carried forward to the next trading session as Limit orders. At-auction Order that remain unmatched will be cancelled automatically.

Orders input before market open will be verified by our system and processed in the next trading session.

Continuous Trading Session

Note: Enhanced Limit Order (“ELO”), Special Limit Order (“SLO”) and Limit Order (“LO”) cannot be cancelled or amended in the HK exchange from 12:00 noon to 12:30pm; yet they can be cancelled from 12:31pm (Hong Kong Time).

There is no Extended Morning Session and Afternoon Session on the eves of Christmas, New Year and Lunar New Year. Where there is no Morning Session, there will be no Extended Morning Session.

Closing Auction Session (Where submissions of At-auction Order ("AAO"), At-auction Limit Order ("AALO"), Good Till Date Order ("GTD") and Stop Loss Limit Order ("SLLO") are allowed.)

Note: All unmatched AAOs and AALOs placed from 4:00pm to 4:10pm will be cleared after day end. Outstanding orders placed during Continuous Trading Session that are within valid price ranges will be carried forward to Closing Auction Session as AALO. SLLO will not be triggered during Closing Auction Session.
